EcoSense Expands Internationally

EcoSense Reaches Out to the Other Side of the Baltic Sea

September 8, 2015

Every summer, EcoSense International’s (ESI) CEO, George Dussich, spends three to four months traveling around Europe. The focus of his trip is to meet with ESI’s European distributors and sales representatives, and if possible attend several trade shows and conferences. Part of his trip is also dedicated to looking for new opportunities to further the company’s ongoing European expansion.

This summer, for a part of his travels, he was joined by Miss Aga Freed, ESI’s Marketing Manager and Environmental Biologist. Together, they met with ESI’s Scandinavian distributor SEKA Miljöteknik AB in Sweden and then traveled to Poland. Once in Poland, Mr. Dussich participated in a very productive meeting with a Commercial Specialist at the American Embassy in Warsaw. They discussed the best ways of conducting business in Poland, country’s law, and potential future representatives. During this time Miss Freed traveled to Lodz, where she prepared for a meeting with Professor Maciej Zalewski the Director of the European Regional Center for Ecohydrology under the auspices of UNESCO at the International Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

On September 2nd, Mr. Dussich and Miss Freed met with Professor Zalewski and his colleagues, who are actively involved in the study of water ecology, and shared an interest in getting familiarized with ESI’s products and willingness to explore possibilities of future cooperation. The meeting was very informative and educational. It allowed ESI’s representatives to understand the problems that Poland is facing and introduced the ways in which they are aproched. Mr. Dussich and Miss Freed discussed how ESI’s products could complement their systems and how some of ESI’s structures could fix their current ecological hot spots that are becoming very challenging to treat.

ESI is very appreciative of the time that Professor Zalewski dedicated to the meeting. He is a world recognized specialist in this field of study and we understand how hard it was to have this appointment scheduled. Professor Zalewski’s cooperation and willingness to make this meeting happen will not be forgotten. Since Miss Freed is of Polish descent and more coincidentally she is from Lodz, the city meeting took place, it was particularly important for her to try to initiate a relationship with Polish decision makers like Professor Zalewski and his colleagues. We are pleased with the fact that the Professor passed our information to the people who are dedicated to the matter of helping the environment and explained the benefits of the cooperation which could only bring mutual gains.

It was heart breaking for Miss Freed to see places of her childhood, like lakes which she used to spend hot summer days at, swimming in and playing with her friends, currently closed, with  big signs to alarm the public of the danger of swimming in the polluted waters. Miss Freed has high hopes for Poland, the country she loves so dearly. She wishes those signs would not be so prevalent in the future and that the Polish people would be more aggressive in finding ways to correct the globally growing problem of water pollution in this beautiful country.

Trip was a success. Currently, ESI is exploring different options for distributors and sales representatives in Poland in hopes for smooth and well run partnership similar to the one we have established in Scandinavia. We believe, that it is very important to become involved with every country that borders the Baltic Sea. By developing a working relationship with environmental engineering firms and organizations in those surrounding countries, there is a chance to save this cold yet beautiful Sea. After returning from his trip, Mr. Dussich said, “only together we can save and preserve the beauty of nature for future generations to benefit from it. It’s time to make a difference.”
